Babies to Big Kids Home Child Care

I provide breakfast, lunch and at least two snacks a day. Also plenty of water on those hot days. All meals are home cooked and nutritionally balanced. Sugary treats are only served for a special occasion (like holiday parties). I serve all natural milk that does NOT have rbGH, antibiotics or pesticides, organic eggs & whole grain bread & pasta. We have an organic garden for the children to help grow our own fresh fruits & vegetables.  The children help cook regularly to learn measurements, math, reading, and to encourage them to try new things. They enjoy making mini homemade pizzas, banana bread, fruit popsicles, smoothies,  strawberry jelly, and much more. I try to make healthy changes to recipes like applesauce instead of vegetable oil & whole wheat flour.  I also get many ideas from the cook book Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld, where it gives you ideas on how to add pureed vegetables into foods. They never knew that there is cauliflower in their mashed potatoes. I want give each child healthy eating habits that will stick with them for life. No child will be forced to eat, but be encouraged to try new things. I also have experience with egg & nut allergies. If there are any special diet needs or requests due to allergies or cultural reasons please ask.

Infants are feed when showing signs of hunger & will not be forced into a schedule. Parents will provide the formula or breast milk and I will provide the food or parents are welcome to send the food in the diaper bag. Table foods are introduced based on the baby’s developmental abilities.
